SPOTTED @
Little John's Convenience Outpost
Camp John Hay
Baguio City
PRICE: 145 Php
For my very first spotted food I decided to start with a dish from my daughter's favorite resto. I have lived here in Baguio almost all my life, but I discovered Little John's through the blogs of Baguio tourists. The most raved dish was their BB ribs. So on my first visit, I had to try it. I quite like it. The meat was tender and the flavor was bar-b-q-wee. Oh and it came with an additional bar-b-q-wee sauce. I'm not sure if the marinade is the same with the extra sauce, but the meat and the sauce tasted the same for me. I'm a saucy person so the more sauce is ... the better. The tiny serving of coleslaw on the side complemented the meat. It's ... ummm ... tangy ( I'm not sure about this adjective though ... but -- oh well -- I think it is ). I just wish they'd put a li'l more. And I wish the meat was a bit bigger (maybe MUCH bigger!!). But overall, I think it's a fine dish. It made me feel good eating it! I find myself ordering this same dish everytime I go there.
My daughter likes this dish, but it's not the reason why she likes the resto. Their draw-while-you-wait gimmick and the possibility that this drawing goes up their wall are the reasons why my 5-year-old loves this resto.
The service is fast. Our orders come even before my artist finishes her masterpiece.
